Evan and one on his friends were sitting in front of my mom and dads singing the other day. I thought it was cute so I was videoing. Ruth told me to look at Easton. He was riding Evans bike, he had only been riding his tricycle and never even tried the boys bikes. Well, when we looked at the video of Evan and his friend we saw the moment of Easton first riding a "big" bike was on camera. Now of course it still has training wheels and it is little, but I think he still did a good job and I was glad I got it on video even if I did not plan to.

Not sure if there is to much in this video, but some of the wording Evan sings is so funny. Sometimes you wonder how in the world they think the song says that. The even funnier thing was that he was singing from of book of Christmas songs, so he had the words there. Too funny!!

Thanksgiving Day 2008!

Dad enjoying his first South Florida Thanksgiving! He loves being here in the warm weather.

Ruth, before we started dinner.

Mom relaxing by playing the computer before we started dinner.

Me, helping the boys make their turkeys.

Easton showing his finished turkey.

Evan is pleased with how his turned out.

Ethan, another pleased customer.

I had to hang their work on the wall for all to see.

Later on in the morning we had some Indians come over and offer to hunt us up a Turkey for dinner.

Here is the one they call Ethan, outside of their Tee Pee.

They were friendly Indians so we felt comfortable with them visiting us.

I am afraid they needed a little help from grandma.

Easton and Evan

Looks like Indian Evan is telling us "I think I got one."

Oh look, it seems he has. Doesn't it look like it will be a good one for our dinner?

Thanks Indian Evan!

The Indians said they would love to help us with anything else they could.

So next they helped husk the corn.

First though I wanted my picture taken with this little handsome Indian.

Easton is his name.

Now this is some hard working Indians. Here is the one they call Ethan

You can see the other two helping out as well.

Boy did they take this stuff seriously, they were letting each other know how many they had done. Ethan would say, "I already have two done." The one they called Evan would say, " Hey I am on my second one too." Such excitement, my nephews would have been making a competition out of it, but not these Indians.

Evan, relaxing after some hard work. You know it was not easy to hunt down that Turkey.
Plus to have to go and pick the corn, then husk it. And don't tell him I told you all this but he did not get that there Turkey on the first shot. So he had a busy morning thus far.

Don't know how I got so lucking to have my picture taken with another handsome Indian.

The Indians told us they had made some other things if we would like them for our dinner. Of course we gladly excepted. We thought it would be nice to also ask them if they would like to stay and eat with us. We were so happy when they gladly excepted.

Evan had made applesauce last night and it cooked all night and morning (boy was it MM good)

Easton made our butter for us. Man that was good too.

Ethan made us a green bean casserole.

I have to say that I was not sure about this one, because I am not big on bean casserole, but it did not disappoint. Although what does it mean when the cook will not eat his own dish?

Now on to the meal!!!!

I think we must have scared these two Indians, because they sat at their own table.

Before we ate, we went around the table and told something we are thankful for.

Evan said give him a minute.

I must admit I can not remember exactly what Ethan said but his thanks was very nice and you could tell he had really thought about it. He said something about being thankful for Christian influence or something like that, it was very sweet.

Easton did not want to say anything by himself, he wanted a little help from mommy.

The Indians outside with their friend Janessa.

Well with the work done and dinner eaten the Indians must have thought it was time to move on. So they picked up their tee pee and off they went.
Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving, I know I did!

COME WHAT MAY

Monday, October 27, 2008

I do not claim to be very smart politically, but I do try to stay up on what is going on. And to get information so that I can make a good decision. I think your right to vote is an important thing and something everyone, who is able, should do. But I also think that there is waaaay to many people getting their info one sided and/or that info is not always right. I mean the media is so far left and that is pretty much all people get. I had someone say to me today that they did not understand why people keep claiming that Obama has no experience. I said because he really does not. Now mind you I do not like to get in these discussion's because I am not good at getting my point across, and I do not feel like I can clearly state my case, but I did not want this person to think that he (Obama) has good experience when he CLEARLY does not. Well, they started out by asking what I though about this election. I knew I did not want to say anything so I just answered with what I thought was a good answer. I told them that I really did not know, but that I knew God was in control no matter who is President. To which they replied Amen to that, ain't that the truth. Then that is when they made the comment about Obama having experience. When I said he really does not, they replied with "He has been in the Senate for over 20plus years." I said "um" no really I did. I guess I was a little dumbfounded and speechless. Surprise Surprise, I was at a lose for words. But not for long. I said no he had only been a Senator for like 2 years when he started his run for President, to which this person replied "Oh no he has been for over 20 years." I just decided that this was a losing battle and I kept my mouth shut. As I sit here typing this and wondering if I should actually post it, I get kinda upset. Because there are people out there who are making a decision that will effect us for the next four years and beyond and they do not have all the information or they have incorrect info. I am not naive enough to think that McCain and Palin are faultless, but I sure would feel better and safer if they were in office then Obama/Bidin. But who am I but one loly voter. Please no matter whether you vote the right way, McCain/Palin or whether you vote the wrong way Obama/Biden. LOL Just get Alot of information so you can make the best vote for you, then get out and vote!!!!!!!

I do not mean to offend anyone by posting this, but I think we worry about that to much. This is just the way I feel. Well, just a very small portion of what I feel on the subject, but all that I want to post about. Anyway sorry if anyone is offended. But I am not sorry I feel this way. Have a Terrific Tuesday!!!!

I never have my camera with me or if I do I never remember to take pictures.
